Memphis / Post-Modern

1981 — 1988

The Memphis Group, founded by Ettore Sottsass in Milan, rejected the austerity of modernism in favor of bold colors, geometric patterns, and playful asymmetry. Drawing on Pop Art, Art Deco, and 1950s kitsch, Memphis became the visual language of the 1980s. This watch embraces terrazzo patterns, clashing colors, and irreverent geometric indices.
