Futurism

1909 — 1944

The Italian Futurists celebrated speed, technology, and the machine age. Marinetti's manifesto proclaimed that "a roaring motor car is more beautiful than the Victory of Samothrace." Umberto Boccioni and Giacomo Balla captured motion through fragmented forms and dynamic compositions. This watch channels velocity through speed lines, motion blur effects, and aerodynamic forms.
