Our digitized VHS home videos from California, 1994โ1999
I digitized our old VHS tapes and created a browsable archive with clips organized by person. The videos have been AI-enhanced to 4ร resolution where possible.
It should appear as "WesData" on your computer.
Find and double-click index.html on the drive. It will open in your web browser.
Click "Video Clips by Person" to see clips organized by family member. Click play on any clip to watch.
I'll send you a Google Drive link. Click it to open the folder.
Right-click index.html โ Download. Open the downloaded file in your browser.
You can stream videos directly from Drive, or download the whole folder for offline viewing.
Some videos have been upscaled from 640ร480 to 2560ร1920 using AI (Real-ESRGAN). The enhanced versions are much sharper!
Click "AI Enhanced Player" from the main page to compare original vs enhanced side-by-side with an interactive slider.
Try a different browser. Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge all work. Some older browsers may not support H.265 video.
The player uses time-stamped clips from the full videos. The actual video files are in the root folder (Tape01.mp4, Easter.mp4, etc).
Yes! 4ร resolution = 16ร the pixels = much larger files. The enhanced "Kris b Day" video is 3 GB vs 243 MB original.
If you spot a misidentified clip or have corrections about who's in a video, let me know! The metadata files can be updated.
