  • Bed occupancy detection
  • Sleep state awareness
  • Temperature coordination
  • Morning routine triggers

Digital Services

Ten cloud services unified through Composio. 724 API actions. Digital events drive physical responses.

  • Achievement announcements

Schedule Management

Google Calendar

Five minutes before a meeting, the office prepares: lights optimize, shades adjust, notifications pause. You just show up.

  • Pre-meeting room prep
  • Focus time protection
  • Travel time awareness
  • Multi-calendar sync

Content Management

Drive · Notion · Sheets

Documents organize themselves. Knowledge flows where it's needed. Information finds you instead of the other way around.

  • Google Drive integration
  • Notion workspace sync
  • Sheets data extraction
  • Cross-platform search

Computer Control

Three tiers of automation: host macOS, sandboxed VMs, and multi-OS. Same API, different targets.

Tier 1

Host macOS

Peekaboo MCP

Direct automation, sub-100ms. Screenshots, clicks, typing, accessibility tree. The real machine.

Tier 2

Sandboxed VMs

CUA/Lume

Isolated macOS VMs using Virtualization.Framework. 97% native speed on Apple Silicon. Snapshot and restore in seconds.

Tier 3

Multi-OS

Parallels

Windows 11 "Gaming" VM with 16 cores, 128GB RAM. PowerShell, cross-platform testing. Same API, different OS.

Unified CLI
# Local execution
cli.execute("ls")

# Windows VM
cli.execute("dir", target="parallels")

# Sandboxed macOS
cli.execute("open -a Safari", target="lume")

The Architecture

A singleton controller. Room-centric design. Failure assumed. Every integration will fail—the question is when, not if.

The Key Insight

Every integration will fail. If Control4 goes down, lighting falls back to direct Lutron LEAP. If UniFi fails, presence routes through Tesla geofencing. There's always another path.

Integration protocols and their challenges
Integration Protocol Challenge
Control4 REST + WebSocket 24h token dance, undocumented device IDs
UniFi Binary WebSocket Reverse-engineered 8-byte frame header
Denon Telnet + HEOS Input names don't match UI labels
Tesla Fleet SSE Partner registration required
Mitsubishi Kumo Cloud V3 Per-zone coordination
Eight Sleep OAuth2 REST 8+ second API latency

Intelligence Layer

The system doesn't just see. It understands. Pattern learning, circadian adaptation, and predictive control.

Circadian Lighting

7 Daily Phases

Light color temperature follows your body's rhythm: 2400K warm at dawn, 4500K bright midday, 2200K dim late night. Brightness scales automatically.

  • Dawn: 2400K, 40% max
  • Midday: 4500K, 100% max
  • Night: 2700K, 50% max
  • Late Night: 2200K, 20% max

Presence Engine

Bayesian Tracking

Probabilistic person tracking with uncertainty quantification. WiFi, motion, cameras, Eight Sleep, and Tesla all feed into Bayesian state estimation.

  • Multi-sensor fusion
  • Per-room probability
  • 30-minute slot learning
  • Weekday/weekend patterns

Predictive HVAC

Tesla + ETA

Tesla location triggers arrival prediction. The system calculates ETA and pre-conditions the home 15 minutes before you arrive.

  • Real-time location tracking
  • ETA calculation
  • Pre-arrival conditioning
  • Energy optimization

Visitor Detection

UniFi AI + WiFi

Differentiate between owner and guest presence. Guest mode disables automated behaviors in occupied rooms. Maintains privacy while preserving convenience.

  • Face recognition (optional)
  • Device fingerprinting
  • Guest mode automation
  • Privacy-preserving

Lessons Learned

Assume Failure

Every integration will fail. Design fallbacks from day one. The question isn't if—it's when.

Local First

Cloud dependencies are single points of failure. Local APIs, local storage, local processing wherever possible.

Measure Everything

You can't optimize what you don't measure. Log every command, time every API call, track every failure.

Parallel by Default

Sequential execution is a bug. If commands don't depend on each other, run them simultaneously.

Safety First

Control Barrier Functions enforce h(x) >= 0. Some actions require explicit confirmation. Never automate irreversible changes.

Context Matters

The same command should behave differently based on time, presence, activity. Intelligence isn't complexity—it's relevance.
